The Philippines Youth Congress brings together young leaders from diverse backgrounds to collaborate and create concrete housing action to address the housing crisis and advocate for decent housing in the face of COVID-19 pandemic. With the theme “Reshaping Inclusive Growth Through Housing” the event engages young people to:
1.Recognize the importance of housing as a driver of growth, resilience, and sustainability in human settlements
2.Cultivate ideas and recognize youth’s creative action to address the housing crisis
3.Inspire the spirit of advocacy and volunteerism among the Filipino youth to contribute towards inclusive growth through housing.
4.Position housing as a priority issue in the 2022 National Election.
The congress will also serve as a platform for the youth to discuss and showcase best practices on how they pivot actions and contributions to community development in the new normal.
