For the upcoming year, we will be partnering with the Magdalene House as a community service/tzedakah project.  The mission of Magdalene House is to build a healing community for survivors of sex trafficking, prostitution, addiction and abuse.  They will provide safe and supportive housing, access to healthcare services and counseling, and vocational training. On June 6th we will hear from Marion Trapolino about the project and how we can get involved. www.magdaleneaustin.org   Location will be sent after you rsvp.

Marion Trapolino is the President and Co-Founder of Magdalene House Austin. Marion is trained as a social worker with clinical program administration and program development experience. Marion has worked as a social worker for Refugee Services of Texas. She chartered Magdalene House of Austin in 2016, due to a lack of long-term, holistic care for women survivors of sex trafficking and addiction.

Please bring ANY feminine need products (or gift cards to HEB, Target, etc) to this June 6th meeting so we can help stock their shelves!! 
 
In addition: Our first project with Magdalene House, as they get ready to open, is to help furnish the 3 bedroom house that will be home to the 6 survivors of sex trafficking. Magdalene House will provide these women with the support and services they need for 2 years to heal and feel loved again. The home was donated to them and has gone through a total renovation, including plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning.  Please help turn this house into a home by purchasing items on their Wish List from Target. Click on the link to select an item that will be sent directly to Magdalene House.
