About the Event
Financial stewardship refers to the responsible management and oversight of financial resources, ensuring they are used wisely and ethically to achieve an organization's missions and goals. It involves the strategic planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of financial resources entrusted to the organization by donors and partners. It encompasses such activities as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulations, aiming to maximize the value and impact of those resources. In nonprofits or non-government organizations, financial stewardship is often tied to the idea of honoring the trust of donors and stakeholders by using funds in alignment with the mission.

This course aims at equipping the participants with the knowledge and skills to apply financial management principles, tools, and techniques towards sound decision-making for sustainability and growth in line with the purpose for which the organization was established.
